Overview
QuickDoc 1.0 is a complete document management system that lives inside a single HTML file. There is no server, no database and nothing to install — just open the file in your browser, and your data stays on your own disk.
Metadata is saved as meta.json in a folder you choose, and every attachment is stored in a
files/ sub-folder next to it. If the browser can't access a local folder, QuickDoc
automatically falls back to IndexedDB, so your data is never lost.
📄 Find anything, fast
- Full-text search across title, description and attachment file names.
- Filter by category, partner and multi-select tags — including "empty value" filters (uncategorized / no partner / no tags).
- Sort by date, title or partner; paginate 20–500 rows per page.
📎 Documents & attachments
- Fields: title, date, partner, category, tags, description and multiple attachments.
- In-app preview for PDF, images and Markdown; one-click download for everything else.
- Every document requires at least one attachment.
🗂️ Categories, tags & partners
- Custom categories, multi-select tags, and partners with code, name, type (client / supplier / service provider / other) and description.
- Deleting an item that is in use asks for confirmation and safely clears only the associations.
🗑️ Recycle bin
- Deleted documents go to a recycle bin (attachments kept). Restore anytime, delete permanently, or empty the bin with a double confirmation.
💾 Backup & restore
- Export everything — metadata and all attachments — into a single timestamped ZIP.
- Import a backup to restore the complete dataset.

- Local folder mode on Chrome / Edge / Opera keeps data as ordinary files; IndexedDB fallback on Firefox / Safari.
- Stress-tested with 20,000 documents: list rendering ≈ 25 ms, worst-case search ≈ 20 ms.
